Security Guard Training

GUARD CARD

This 8-hour course is approved by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. The student will receive course completion paperwork that will allow them to register with the Bureau as an unarmed guard.

INITIAL GUARD CARD / FIREARMS CERTIFICATION

This 16-hour course is approved by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. The student will receive course completion paperwork that will allow them to register with the Bureau as an armed guard.

  • includes .38 caliber and 9mm

  • each additional caliber $50

STATE FEE  |   $100

REQUAL

This 5 hour course is approved by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. This class is mandated by the Bureau for existing Firearm Permit Holders. Students must shoot twice annually, and must have at least a four-month time period between shoots. Firearm Permit Holders who do not follow this schedule will not be able to renew their permits at the end of the two year period and will be forced to take the Initial Firearms class again.

PEPPER SPRAY

This 4-hour course is approved by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. The student will receive their Pepper Spray Card at the completion of the class.

BATON CERTIFICATION

This 8-hour course is approved by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. The student will receive their Baton Permit approximately 30 days upon completion of the course.

MODULE 1  |  CONTINUING EDUCATION

This 16-hour course is approved by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. The Student will receive course completion paperwork compliant with regulations that require the new Guard Certification Students to have an additional 16 hours training within the first 30 days of being issued their Guard Card.

MODULE 2  |  CONTINUING EDUCATION

This 16-hour course is approved by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. The student will receive course completion paperwork compliant with regulations that require the new Guard card Certification Students to have an additional 16 hours training within the first 6 months of being issued their Guard card.
